Sources Policy

Source attribution is a core trust layer of the project. Every published entity must cite the sources that inform its content.

Accepted Source Types

  • Classical primary texts (e.g., Homer, Hesiod, Ovid, Apollodorus)
  • Established scholarly reference works and mythography collections
  • Peer-reviewed academic publications
  • Recognized museum and cultural institution records

Not Accepted

  • User-generated wikis or unattributed web content
  • Social media or informal commentary
  • Fiction, fan interpretation, or modern retellings presented as primary material

Attribution Format

Sources are cited at the entity level, not inline. Each entity record carries a sources array that lists the works consulted for that entry. Where a specific passage or section is relevant, it is noted in the citation.
