Sources Policy
Source attribution is a core trust layer of the project. Every published entity must cite the sources that inform its content.
Accepted Source Types
- Classical primary texts (e.g., Homer, Hesiod, Ovid, Apollodorus)
- Established scholarly reference works and mythography collections
- Peer-reviewed academic publications
- Recognized museum and cultural institution records
Not Accepted
- User-generated wikis or unattributed web content
- Social media or informal commentary
- Fiction, fan interpretation, or modern retellings presented as primary material
Attribution Format
Sources are cited at the entity level, not inline. Each entity record carries a sources array that lists the works consulted for that entry. Where a specific passage or section is relevant, it is noted in the citation.
